Birth and beyond paris
"Rebozo" is the name of the colored woven scarf you can see in this picture, created by women for women. This particular scarf comes from Mexico, and is used among Mexican Midwives and Doulas for birth support, but also in daily life such as wiping a plate, protecting your head from the rain, as a bag, or even as a baby carrier.
The Rebozo we use come from Mexico, but the tradition to use a scarf or fabric to support pregnancy, birth and postpartum can be seen all around the world.
In Japan, where I grew up, women traditionally use "Haramaki"or “Sarashi”, which is a very long cotton fabric worn around their belly to support the weight of the belly and keep it warm, both during pregnancy and postpartum.
In Singapore, there's a traditional Bengkung belly binding that is well known as a postpartum abdominal support.
I had the privilege to witness a traditional Taiwanese doula belly binding a new mom, and it was beautiful. She said it helps to reduce the “emptiness” inside the belly and keep that area warm.
Many years ago in France, there was a similar practice simply using bed sheets or cotton fabric, to bind the belly.
This practice of belly binding was once used across the globe but it has been rather forgotten in the past decades. Our ancestors passed on their knowledge and wisdom of this beautiful practice, and I hope to help more women to benefit from it.
We love our Rebozo because of its unique weave as you can see in the picture. There's this airy/lightly woven places, and some more densely woven side. It is this special weave that helps to perfectly support the bodies of all women. Its extreme strength will even allow us to lift your body up & down, swing, shake and of course belly bind as you can see in the pictures.
In 2019, Anne and I created Rebozo Therapy © to accompany all women on an empowering journey of healing with this amazing Rebozo scarf.
We use this Rebozo, not only to belly bind, but also to add movement to your body, swing, stretch, shake, recenter…, the possibilities are infinite.
Anne also practices as a doula, serving Paris and the west suburb with love and dedication (www.naissanciel.fr).
Welcome to this healing and restoring Rebozo journey!!
We are offering for the moment this 2 Soins Rebozo:
"Rebozo Ritual" (3h/ 2 practitioners), a complete Ritual for a profound connection with yourself.
"Rebozo Massage" (1h30/1 practitioner) where we will cocoon and massage your whole body with the rebozo.
All details are below.
~All about Rebozo sessions~
~ Rebozo Ritual ~
This is a "Ritual" that can be received any time in a woman's life, especially to mark a life event such as a birth, menopause, career change, marriage, separation, bereavement, or just to have some well deserved quality time for yourself.
It is given by two women, who will be present physically and emotionally for the whole duration of the Rebozo Ritual (about 3h).
We like to call this ritual, a "voyage".
All 3 of us will travel together in a sacred space, where time will stand still, where any emotions or feelings are welcomed and free to manifest, where you can reconnect with your femininity, where you can be truly YOURSELF.
This is YOUR VOYAGE.
We prepare the ritual with love, passion and dedication.
~A sneak peek of the Rebozo Ritual~
The herbal infusion you will drink through the whole ritual is prepared with organic ingredients.
We begin the ritual by exchanging around this body & heart warming infusion. We simply want to know more about you.
A four hands massage will invite you to truly let go, total relaxation. We use 100% organic warm oil such as sesame, coconut etc, chosen specifically for you.
Hammam time will give you "space" where you can deeply connect with yourself. Some women says "It felt like I was in my mother's womb again". The darkness and the heat will help you to eliminate what you don't need at the moment, both physically and emotionally.
And the Rebozo joins us here. We will honor your whole body by closing the 7 points of your body (head to toe) one by one with the Rebozo. The pelvis will be often emphasized as it's the center of human body, both physically and energetically. Especially on post-partum Rebozo Ritual, this "closing the pelvis bone" technique is well-appreciated by new mums.
We will once again share a cup of the herbal infusion before a warm farewell.
Our "Voyage" will end here, but we would love to hear from you, days, weeks or months after the ritual, to know how you're doing, as the ritual energy will keep accompanying you even days or months after.
~Price~
330€ for a full 3h Rebozo Ritual with 2 practitioners.
Reservation at "Contact" page.
Possibility to offer the ritual as a Gift Voucher!
~ Rebozo Massage ~
Have you ever lay in a hammock?
The sensation of "being held" by the rebozo is similar to when you lay in a hammock, but much more cocooning and enveloping. The sequence of the Rebozo Massage has the power to envelop and reassure both body and mind.
I will gently massage your body with the rebozo. Swinging, lifting, releasing, wrapping, stretching, recentering..., you will discover the amazing "ability" of the rebozo. We have gathered all of our expertise from Dance, Wuotaï, Yoga, Massage, and of course the Rebozo technique to create this unique session.
Since the "Closing the pelvic bone" technique is very frequently requested, we decided to include this in the Rebozo Massage.
It can be received at any moment of a woman’s life, even during pregnancy and post-partum (with the approval of your medical care-giver).
Many of our clients for this session are postpartum mothers. The session can be received fully clothed with baby lying by your side. It is a shorted session than the Rebozo Ritual, which often works well for new mums with their hands full.
~Price~
from 130€~ for 1h30 with 1 practitioner.
Possibility to add 30mn oil massage for belly, foot, head&face depending of your need (ask me the details!)
Reservation at "Contact" page.
Possibility to offer this session as a Gift Voucher.
